Service Standards
Service excellence is a priority for the Child and Family Services Review Board (CFSRB). Our service standards keep us focused on providing our clients with fair, effective, and timely dispute resolution. We aim to meet these standards 80% of the time:
Removal of a child from a foster home
- Hearings will be scheduled 20 days after the application is deemed eligible
- Decisions or orders will be issued within 10 calendar days after the hearing has been completed
Complaints against a children's aid society
- Pre-hearings will be scheduled within 40 days after the application is deemed eligible
- Hearings will be scheduled within 60 days after the application is deemed eligible
- Decisions or orders will be issued within 30 calendar days of the completion of the hearing
Emergency Secure Treatment Applications
- Hearings will be scheduled within four calendar days of receipt of the application
- Decisions or orders will be issued within 10 calendar days after the hearing has been completed
Refusal to Adopt
- Hearings will be scheduled 20 days after the application is deemed eligible
- Decisions or orders will be issued within 10 calendar days after the hearing has been completed
Review of a Residential Placement
- Hearings will be scheduled within 20 days after receipt of the application
- Decisions or orders will be issued within 10 calendar days after the hearing has been completed
School Board Expulsion Appeals
- Board expulsion decisions will be scheduled within 30 calendar days of receipt of the notice of appeal
- Orders will be issued within 10 calendar days after the hearing has been completed
- Decisions will be issued within 20 calendar days after the hearing has been completed
