Tribunals Ontario homepage

The following image is the homepage of the Tribunals Ontario website. The numbered areas are key features you might use to navigate the website and are described below.

  1. Corporate information menu
    The corporate information menu on the Tribunals Ontario website. The menu includes links labelled Home, About, Supports and services, What's new, and Contact.

    This heading appears at the top of every page on the Tribunals Ontario website. It includes a menu of buttons you can click to access web pages with information about Tribunals Ontario.

    Note: These buttons do not direct you to process-related information about specific tribunals. To find information about specific tribunal processes and services, see the section immediately below.

  2. Our Tribunals

    Read the section titled "Our Tribunals" to learn about each of the 13 tribunals under Tribunals Ontario. Click on the panel of the appropriate tribunal to access the tribunal's homepage, where you can find information about specific tribunal processes, forms, laws, rules, resources, contact information, and more.

  3. "Our Tribunals" button

    This button appears at the top-right corner of every page on the Tribunals Ontario website. Click on this button to open a drop-down menu including quick links that can direct you to the homepage for each of the 13 tribunals under Tribunals Ontario.

  4. "Supports and services" panel

    To access the supports and services offered by Tribunals Ontario, you can click on this green button. This button appears on the Tribunals Ontario homepage, as well as the homepage for each tribunal, for easy access.

Tribunal homepages

Each of the 13 tribunals under Tribunals Ontario have their own homepages on the Tribunals Ontario website.

The following image is the homepage for the Animal Care Review Board. The numbered areas are key features found on most* tribunal homepages, which may help you find the information you are looking for. These features are described below.

*Note: The Ontario Civilian Police Commission website remains organized in its legacy format and does not follow the layout described below.

  1. Name and role – The name and role of the tribunal is specified at the top of each tribunal homepage.
  2. Action cards – This panel appears on the top-right corner of every tribunal homepage. It includes key information and resources related to the tribunal. You may wish to read these resources before you begin the tribunal process.
  3. Menu options – Each tribunal Home page includes a menu of links to information about the tribunal. These links are organized in the order of the tribunal process from start to finish. You can begin learning about the tribunal and its processes by clicking on the first bulleted link.
  4. What's new – This panel includes links to the most recent news and updates from the tribunal. Click on "Read more" to access older news and updates.

Multi-panel pages

Many pages on the Tribunals Ontario website are formatted as "multi-panel" pages.

An example of a multi-panel page is the "Appeals, applications and the hearing process" page for the Animal Care Review Board, pictured below. The numbered areas in the following image indicate the key features on multi-panel pages. These features are described below.

  1. Navigation tabs
    A table of buttons that appears on the Animal Care Review Board's Appeals, applications and the hearing process webpage. The buttons are all numbered and labelled with a step in the tribunal process, such as 1. Before you file and 2. Filing an appeal or application.

    This panel appears at the top of every multi-panel page and offers a list of numbered buttons. Each button is linked to a different subpage. Tip: Visiting these pages in the order in which they are numbered will take you from the beginning of the tribunal process to the end.

    Click on the buttons to visit the subpage with the information described on the button. The dark blue button indicates the subpage you are currently visiting.

  2. Quick tribunal pages button
    A button labelled ACRB Pages.

    This button appears at the top-right corner of all tribunal pages on the Tribunals Ontario website. Click on this button to open a drop-down menu including quick links that can direct you to each of the information pages for the tribunal.

  3. Table of contents
    The table of contents on the Before you file page for the Animal Care Review Board. The table of contents includes a list of links to the different sections on the page, including Animal Welfare Services, Appeals, The role of the ACRB and Language services.

    All tribunal pages include a description of what information can be found on that page. Longer pages will include a table of contents with links that direct you to each section.

  4. Additional resources
    The Additional resources panel on the Animal Care Review Board's Appeals, applications and the hearing process page, which includes bulleted links to other resources, such as Get legal help.

    This box appears on the right-hand side of most pages. It includes links to additional resources that may help you navigate and better understand the tribunal process.
