Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario (HRTO)

The Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario is seeking input to improve its services and to facilitate more efficient dispute resolution.

Landlord and Tenant Board (LTB)

The Landlord and Tenant Board is seeking input on new and revised forms, form instructions and guidelines related to the changes to the RTA in Bill 184 that have not yet come into effect.

Bill 184, which amends the RTA , is now law, and its provisions are not a part of this consultation.

The forms posted for consultation are not fillable. Once finalized, the forms will be designed in a fillable format.

We carefully considered all the submissions. The feedback we received has helped us to make changes that better meet the needs of tenants, landlords and their representatives. We have captured those changes in a “What We Heard” document .

Assessment Review Board (ARB)

The ARB is seeking input on proposed revisions to its Rules of Practice and Procedure.

The ARB is proposing the following changes:

  • reducing the Schedule of Events timelines from 66 – 104 weeks to 40 weeks
  • removal of any reference to mediation
  • streamlining, clarifying and re-positioning the rules and language to help with understanding processes
