The CICB’s last day of operations is December 30, 2021 at 5:00 p.m. (EST). If you have questions about a matter, we encourage you to contact the CICB as soon as possible. The CICB will make all reasonable efforts to provide a response prior to the close of operations.

If you are a victim of crime looking for support, contact the Victim Quick Response Program+ (VQRP+) or call the Victim Support Line at 416-314-2447 or 1-888-579-2888. If you have questions about your CICB file, your CICB award of a monthly (periodic) payment or funds for treatment to be paid directly to your service provider, please contact the CICB.

About the CICB


The Criminal Injuries Compensation Board (CICB) assesses financial compensation for victims and family members of deceased victims of violent crimes committed in Ontario. The CICB is an adjudicative tribunal created under the Compensation for Victims of Crime Act.

The CICB is one of the fourteen tribunals that make up Tribunals Ontario.
