Effective January 1, 2025, individuals or businesses who apply for a licence or event permit, or who currently hold a licence or event permit, under the Combative Sports Act, 2019 (CSA) can appeal the orders or intended actions by the Commissioner, to the Licence Appeal Tribunal (LAT).
Appeals that can be submitted to LAT – General Service under the CSA, are as follows:
- Refusal to issue a licence or event permit.
- Cancellation or suspension of a licence or event permit.
- Amendment of existing conditions on a licence or event permit or imposition of new terms on a licence or event permit.
- Order for immediate suspension or cancellation of a licence or event permit.
