Tribunals Ontario is increasing public access to Landlord and Tenant Board (LTB) orders. Starting July 24, 2026, the LTB will begin posting final orders issued between January 2026 and May 2026 on the Ontario government’s Open Data Catalogue (ODC). This will not include orders for which confidentiality has been granted.
The LTB will then commence publishing orders dating back to 2021 in phases, with historical orders added incrementally over time.
Current orders will be posted on a monthly basis to ensure easy access and support transparency with the public.
Users may also access some LTB orders issued before December 2021 on the Canadian Legal Information Institute’s (CanLII) website, a non-profit organization. Otherwise, these orders may be accessed by making a request for records in Tribunals Ontario files.
Also, effective July 24, 2026 at 5:00 p.m., all email notifications from the Tribunals Ontario Portal to Landlord and Tenant Board applicants, respondents and other parties will only be sent from a new email id – ltbdonotreply@tribunalsontario.ca. The new email id replaces the old one – ltbdonotreply@ontario.ca. Please see our Operational Update to learn about the actions you need to take.
