Effective July 24, 2026 at 5:00 p.m., all email notifications from the Tribunals Ontario Portal to Landlord and Tenant Board (LTB) applicants, respondents and other parties will only be sent from a new email id – ltbdonotreply@tribunalsontario.ca. The new email id replaces the old one – ltbdonotreply@ontario.ca.
To prepare for this change and avoid missing email notifications, parties using the Tribunals Ontario Portal should add ltbdonotreply@tribunalsontario.ca to their contacts list in their email service (for example: Gmail, Outlook, Hotmail, Yahoo Mail, etc.) by taking the following actions:
- Open your email service’s Contacts, People, or Address Book
- Click New Contact or Add Contact.
- Enter:
- Name: Landlord and Tenant Board (or LTB)
- Email address: ltbdonotreply@tribunalsontario.ca
- Save the contact.
- If you have ltbdonotreply@ontario.ca listed as a contact, be sure to remove it.
Parties using the Tribunals Ontario Portal should check their junk email regularly to ensure they aren’t missing any correspondence from the LTB. If an email is going into your junk mail folder, take the following actions to prevent future emails from also going there:
- Open the email in your Junk/Spam
- Mark it as “Not Spam“, “Not Junk“, or “Safe“.
- Add the sender or entire domain to your allowlist/safe senders list.
- Follow the steps above to add ltbdonotreply@tribunalsontario.ca as a contact.
If you received an email from ltbdonotreply@tribunalsontario.ca that went to your junk folder but you are unable to follow the steps listed above, you can also drag the message from your “Junk” to your “Inbox” and add ltbdonotreply@tribunalsontario.ca to your contacts.
If you have any questions about this change, please contact the LTB at LTB@ontario.ca.
