Landlord and Tenant Board Key Performance Indicators


Resolves disputes between residential landlords and tenants and resolves eviction applications filed by non-profit housing co-operatives. The LTB also provides information about its practices and procedures and the rights and responsibilities of landlords and tenants under the Residential Tenancies Act, 2006.

  • LTB has fully transitioned to the new Tribunals Ontario Portal (TOP) case management system (CMS) and is in the process of developing the necessary reports to be able to compile this data.

The definitions for each type of application referenced above are as follows:

  • L1: Application to evict a tenant for non-payment of rent and to collect rent the tenant owes
  • L5: Application for an Above Guideline Increase
  • L9: Application to Collect Rent the Tenant Owes
  • A4: Application to Vary the Amount of a Rent Reduction
