Effective January 1, 2025, all persons licensed by the Law Society of Ontario (Lawyers, Paralegals) must use the Tribunals Ontario Portal (TOP), the Landlord and Tenant Board (LTB)’s case management system, to access any file-related documents as well as submit the following items to the LTB for all proceedings where they are representing a party or where the licensee is a party to the proceeding:
- Request for the Board to Issue a Summons
- Request to Reschedule a Hearing
- Request to Extend or Shorten Time (with no additional request attached)
- Request to Withdraw an Application Form
- Request for a Discontinuance Order Without a Hearing Form
- Request to Amend an Order
- Request to Re-open an Application
- L1/L9 – Information Update
- Request to Add Representative (If not able to access the file in TOP due to lack of a PIN from the LTB and the hearing is in less than 10 business days, the request can be sent to LTB@ontario.ca – clearly indicate URGENT in the subject line.)
- Unavailable dates for hearings for up to five separate applications (Unavailable dates for six or more files can be submitted to LTB@ontario.ca)
