Due to a labour disruption at Canada Post, mail services have been impacted at some of our tribunals.

Parties are encouraged to use email when submitting documents to the tribunal. Documents may be sent by courier if email is not an option. If you, or a party, are waiting to receive documents from a tribunal, email or a courier may be used.

About the OPB

The Ontario Parole Board (OPB) is an independent, inquisitorial agency. It is one of the 13 tribunals that form Tribunals Ontario.

The OPB makes parole decisions for applicants serving a sentence of less than two years in a provincial correctional institution. The OPB also decides applications for temporary absences from a correctional institution for greater than 72 hours.
