French Language Services

Tribunals Ontario is committed to ensuring that French language services are clearly visible, easily accessible, publicized and of equivalent quality to services offered in English. Counter and phone services are available in French as are all of our forms and publications. A bilingual member or mediator will be assigned to a hearing or mediation where the application or appeal is submitted in French, a response is filed in French, or a party requests to participate in the proceedings in French. Some tribunals are required by law to hold a hearing or mediation within a certain time period. If a bilingual adjudicator or mediator is not available to conduct a hearing or mediation within that time, a French-English interpreter will be used.
