Due to a labour disruption at Canada Post, mail services have been impacted at some of our tribunals.

Parties are encouraged to use email when submitting documents to the tribunal. Documents may be sent by courier if email is not an option. If you, or a party, are waiting to receive documents from a tribunal, email or a courier may be used.

Tribunals Ontario Supports and services

Access to justice, diversity and inclusion are core values of Tribunals Ontario. See our commitment to accessibility and diversity.

Tribunals Ontario believes that everyone should be given an equal opportunity to access Tribunals Ontario’s services and fully participate in the processes of the tribunal. Tribunals Ontario also believes that services should be provided in a manner that respects the dignity and independence of all participants.

Request an accommodation

Accommodations are arrangements that allow everyone to participate fully in the tribunal process, regardless of their abilities. This could include a request for an interpreter, support person or a change in hearing format. Find out how to request an accommodation.

Request a change of hearing format

All tribunals will continue to schedule video, telephone or written proceedings unless a different format is required as an accommodation for an Ontario Human Rights Code-related need, or unless a party can establish that the specified hearing format will result in an unfair hearing.

Learn about when and how to request a change of hearing format for Tribunals Ontario proceedings.

Video proceedings

Tribunal proceedings are primarily conducted by video or phone. Our video proceedings page provides information to help you prepare for a virtual proceeding, such as a hearing, mediation, or case conference, at one of Tribunals Ontario’s boards or tribunals.
