Effective November 17, 2024, applicants making electronic payments using debit and credit cards to the Licence Appeal Tribunal – General Service will see the new WORLDLINE logo instead of TD Canada Trust (TD) logo on the payment webpage.

Rules of Practice
Licence Appeal Tribunal Rules, 2023 (effective July 1, 2024)
Effective August 21, 2023, revised Licence Appeal Tribunal (LAT) Rules began to apply to LAT appeals.
The Application Rules Information Sheet provides information about the application of the revised LAT Rules. The Common Rules continue to apply to LAT matters for a period of time as set out in the Information Sheet and application rules.
Effective July 1, 2024, an updated version of Rule 13 will apply to LAT appeals.

Practice Directions
The following practice directions support the rules and provide guidance about what the LAT expects of the parties and what the parties can expect of the LAT. They help parties to understand the rules.
Practice direction on adjournments
The Practice Direction on Adjournments supports the LAT’s rules on requesting and considering adjournments.
Practice direction on reconsiderations
The Practice Direction on Reconsideration supports the LAT’s rules on requesting and granting reconsiderations.
Practice Direction on Recording Hearings
Effective July 1, 2024, an updated version of the Practice Direction on Recordings of Hearings will go into effect for all LAT-GS and LAT-AABS appeals. This Practice Direction supports the LAT’s rules on recording hearings.
It replaces the Practice Direction on Recording Hearings .
