Help for Landlords
This is a list of common concerns that you may have about your tenancy and what you can do about them. Not every concern is listed here. Remember that if you want to apply to evict your tenant, you will usually need to give them a notice before you apply.
Other resources that may help answer your questions, include:
- A Guide to the Residential Tenancies Act (HTML | PDF)
- The Residential Tenancies Act
- LTB Frequently Asked Questions
- LTB Brochures
- Standard Lease (Mandatory for new leases starting April 30, 2018) and the Guide to the Standard Lease
- The Application and Hearing Process at the Landlord and Tenant Board
You may want to get legal advice before you decide what to do.
